Gaylord Hotel is one of the great downtown San Francisco hotels and a cheap hotel in San Francisco California. If you want budget-priced San Francisco lodging or to choose one of the San Francisco discount hotels take a good long look at The Gaylord.
The hotel was renovated just two years ago and is now a beautiful hotel while offering you a great value. Hotel rooms are not cheap in San Francisco and so when you find one of the cheap hotels in San Francisco that is clean and updated you should really consider staying there.

The hotel is located just three blocks away from Union Square where I have found great shopping, fantastic restaurants and some great theatre productions. Everything happens in Union Square in San Francisco and it is the heart of the city.

The hotel has a new name and it is now known as The Gaylord Suites. They recently renovated the bathrooms and made them shiny and new. The Gaylord is a great value for the money.

They have weekly rates of $525 + 15.5% hotel tax.
Tip: $75 a night is an amazing price for San Francisco lodging in the downtown and Union Square area.
The rooms are about 400 square feet. They don't offer parking but they can direct you to a nearby parking garage for $20 a day which is a fantastic price for downtown San Francisco.

Cheap hotels in San Francisco are very hard to come by. Most visitors probably don't even realize that San Francisco discount hotels exist and just pay $200+ a night for a room. San Francisco lodging can be found from ultra-deluxe to very budget - it just depends on what you want to pay for.
Tip: Take my advice and book a room at The Gaylord (now called The Gaylord Suites) and save yourself a bunch of money. Take the money you save and use it to go do all those San Francisco attractions you've always been dying to do!
