Argonaut Hotel - this is four star lodging and a Fodor's Choice hotel located just steps from the San Francisco Bay. I love the nautical theme of this hotel. It makes me feel like I'm going on a cruise! It's very close to Ghiradelli Square, the Hyde Street Cable Car Turnaround, Hyde Street Pier, Aquatic Park, Fishermen's Wharf and Pier 39 San Francisco.

Tuscan Inn

Tuscan Inn. I stayed at this hotel on December 11, 2009 for my anniversary. We took a whale watching tour and then snuggled in to this wonderful hotel just two short blocks from the waterfront. I loved this hotel because the rooms had been updated and were very clean. The staff didn't leave a remarkable impression but the hotel was spacious and cozy.

Harbor Court Hotel - This hotel is located close to the Ferry Building, The Embarcadero and downtown San Francisco. I like this hotel because it let's you use the YMCA next door and it has a great tucked away location.

Hotel Monaco - This is one of my favorite downtown San Francisco hotels. It has a ton of European charm and they will give you a companion goldfish if you only ask! Rex the hotel dog is adorable too.

Hotel Palomar

Hotel Palomar - This hotel has a funky location right next to the Old navy store downtown! But I like it because you can get in-room spa services and it has a first class restaurant that has recently been renovated called the Fifth Floor restaurant that has French cuisine.

Prescott Hotel

Prescott Hotel - It has a wonderful location in downtown San Francisco and Postrio which is Wolfgang Puck's award-winning restaurant attached to it's lobby so I can enjoy some great meals.

Serrano Hotel

Serrano Hotel - Free internet access, clean rooms but rather small and a friendly staff are what sets this hotel apart. Located close by shopping.

Sir Francis Drake Hotel

Sir Francis Drake Hotel - You are greeted by doormen in Beefeater costumes. This hotel has one of the best-known skyline bars and Harry Denton's Starlight Room.
