Marriott Hotel San Francisco, a San Francisco California hotel, and a downtown San Francisco hotel is a good, but not fabulous, San Francisco lodging choice.
There are a lot of downtown San Francisco hotels to choose from. If you want a hotel near Union Square then this is just one block from it. This is my San Francisco hotel review of the JW Marriott Hotel.

This hotel is also close to the Financial District, Chinatown, Nob Hill, and the Moscone Convention Center. It doesn't get much more central than this!

The lobby has rose and gray marble throughout and bullet glass elevators that give you a real ride.

The lobby is nice and light and spacious like you would expect of a downtown San Francisco California hotel. I liked it but some people say it doesn't have much personality or character.

This chair and ottoman just screamed out to me, "Stop right now, cozy up to this fire, get a great novel and some munchies and spend the day!" I don't really spend my days lounging in hotel lobbies but if I could I would be right here.

The beds have just gotten new gold, olive and maroon bedding with a recent update. The rooms are large and luxurious. Tip: because of the high cost of land in the downtown areas many hotel rooms in the city are quite small so if room to move around is important to you then this might be a great choice.

The bathrooms have new vanities and guests rave about the deep soaking tubs.

The Marriott Hotel San Francisco has a great location for San Francisco lodging with great access to the heart of the city. If you are trying to choose from one of the downtown San Francisco hotels this is a great choice.
Tip: If you like a central location but want a larger room with a nice bathroom then the JW Marriott San Francisco is a great choice.
I recommend the Marriott Hotel because it is a proven winner and has a great location with great rooms to help you relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of downtown San Francisco and Union Square.
