San Francisco Restaurant Review

San Francisco restaurant review of Scoma's San Francisco - a great place to eat after Alcatraz Tours! This is one of those San Francisco things to do I have always wanted to experience.

Scoma's is so tucked away that I didn't even know it was there until I started this website! San Francisco is known for it's amazing restaurants and this is defnitely one of them!

Scoma's San Francisco

My husband and I celebrated his birthday dinner there on December 11, 2009. I needed to write a San Francisco restaurant review so I suggested Scoma's. It was a great meal!

We had the "Shellfish Saute" which came with prawns, scallops, lobster and crab legs. It cost $36 and we split the dish. We each got a lobster tail - I don't know if they usually give you two - they must have liked us!

It came with some rice that had this white wine and butter sauce that was very tasty - I wanted more! The seafood tasted very fresh - not fishy.

I think it was the best seafood meal I have ever eaten!

And even though we split it I was very full - especially because I had a couple of sour dough bread rolls with butter also! (those are killer and a definite must experience on your San Francisco things to do list!)
