Recap Of Our Whale Watching Trip
On December 11, 2009

  • Cold, wintry day.

  • I took Dramamine so I didn't get sick. My husband has a stomach of steel - he was fine.

  • The "Kitty Kat" was the name of the boat with San Francisco Whale Tours. Very nice, clean, double hulled catamaran - fast too!

  • 35 tourists and locals looking for whales.

  • Mammal sightings: dolphins on the way out, spray from a whale's spout, one grey whale from a few seconds going under.

  • Would I do it again? Tomorrow - sign me up!

  • Recommendations: pick a warm sunny day, take Dramamine or equivalent, bring your camera, and lots of layers.

San Francisco whale watching is a lot of fun and one of those San Francisco things to do I highly recommend!

If I went whale watching in San Francisco again I would definitely choose San Francisco Whale Tours. They are a professional tour company who are ecologically minded.

I hope you choose to go whale watching in San Francisco - I had a great day.

P.S. We bought our tickets through Groupon and saved 50%! I like that.
